About
Project carried out under the supervision of Dr. Ewa Bujak, Ms. Sonia Furmanek, Dr. Bożena Groborz, during my master's studies at the Industrial Forms Department of the Krakow Academy of Fine Arts. Before the start of the design phase, I underwent a course in drawing trouser patterns, beginning with the pattern of 1980s suit trousers, which underwent modifications to achieve the final appearance of the pants. Throughout the design process, conceptual sketches were created, construction trials were conducted, and several test versions of pants and key elements were sewn.
Sketches — concept
Before starting work on a specific part of the wardrobe, I contemplated the entire styling. I created several sketches illustrating the conceptual idea. I drew inspiration from the style of some of the biggest fashion houses and artists such as BALENCIAGA, Rick Owens, and Issey Miyake.
Making Off
Prototyping started with learning how to draft a pattern for men's suit trousers from the 80s, which I then modified for my design. I created approximately 20 pants models to ensure that the articulated knees behaved in the desired manner.
